Job Description
Role Purpose:
The purpose of the position is to provide a support service to the engineering and manufacturing departments. To establish, maintain and optimize manufacturing and assembly capability in line with the current manufacturing requirements and latest industry technologies and support the new product development process through ensuring that new designs align with manufacturing and assembly capabilities and capacities.
Responsibilities:
The work and responsibilities will cover a range of activities, not limited to the following duties:
â–ªSupport new product development to ensure manufacturing and assembly capability and process optimisation
â–ªNew product assembly line planning in conjunction with assembly plant management
â–ªTechnical support for manufacturing department processes and equipment
â–ªInitiating and implementing process automation projects
â–ªPlant layouts
â–ªMaintaining manufacturing capability
â–ªInvestigating latest manufacturing technology trends
â–ªInvestigating and implementing CAPEX projects
â–ªInitiating continuous improvement projects aimed at improving efficiencies and reducing costs
â–ªSupporting cost accounting functions with regards to work centre and cost centre rates
Requirements:
- BEng / BTech (Mechanical or Mechatronics)
- At least 3 years’ experience in a multi-disciplinary manufacturing environment;
- Process automation experience is essential
- Self-driven and enthusiastic
